Description
A mountain valley bordering the National Park
The property
Two hundred and one hectares in the El Huemul area, eight kilometers from Futaleufú via a gravel road. The property occupies a mountain valley with gentle hills and natural meadows, with the main house in the lower part and native forest covering the slopes.
On its northern boundary, it borders Los Alerces National Park on the Argentine side. This natural boundary is rare: it ensures that the property’s layout will remain unchanged and provides the property with a neighbor that cannot be sold or subject to subdivision.
Water
Several streams run through the property. The main one is the Buena Vista stream, which has a substantial flow and runs alongside the property for more than three kilometers.
This water powers the turbine that supplies the main house, and it also sustains the pastures during the summer.
Production
Between thirty-five and forty percent of the land area is usable. These are natural pastures with slopes, hills, and flat grazing areas, on fertile soil suitable for planting.
Today, the farm raises cattle and sheep. The management infrastructure is in place: sorting pens, a barn for horses, and a forage storage facility.
